December 4th Lecture Human Rights Week by Prof. Marie Beaulieu

In het kader van de Week van de Mensenrechten nodigen Prof. Dr. Ines Keygnaert & het International Centre for Reproductive Health (ICRH) u van harte uit voor: “Addressing Mistreatment of Older Adults from a Human Rights’ Perspective” , een lezing door Prof. Marie Beaulieu (Université de Sherbrooke, Canada.
Prof. Beaulieu is hoogleraar aan de Universiteit van Sherbooke. Sinds November 2010 bekleedt ze de Leerstoel “Ouderenmis(be)handeling”, financieel ondersteund door de Québecse regering. Sinds juli 2017 is ze codirectrice van het WHO collaborating Centre “Age-friendly communities and Elder abuse and Neglect”. In haar 30-jarige onderzoekscarrière focuste ze voornamelijk op volgende onderwerpen: de aanpak van ouderenmis(be)handeling, veiligheidsgevoel bij ouderen, ethiek, ouder worden en het levenseinde.

De lezing gaat door op 4 december 2018 in de Faculteit Geneeskunde en Gezondheidswetenschappen UGent,

On the occasion of the Human Rights Week, Prof. Dr. Ines Keygnaert & the International Centre for Reproductive Health (ICRH) cordially invite you to: “Addressing Mistreatment of Older Adults from a Human Rights’ Perspective”, a lecture by Prof. Marie Beaulieu (University of Sherbrooke, Canada).
Marie Beaulieu is a full professor at the University of Sherbrooke. Since November 2010, she has held the position of Research Chair on Mistreatment of Older Adults financed by the Québec Government. Since July 2017, she is co-directing a center affiliated with the World Health Organisation (WHO) on Age-friendly communities and countering mistreatment. The principal focus of her 30-year career has been countering mistreatment, the sense of security of older adults, ethics, aging and end-of-life care.
The lecture takes place on December 4th 2018 at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences,
